It's A Party
A few months ago I got an idea, which is not always a good thing. In this instance it was the idea that I should throw my self a birthday luau. Why? Because I can and I wanted to.
I threw myself into this and spent a lot of time working on finding and buying decorations, making the menu, creating a guest list and making the invitations. This year it happened to work out that my birthday was on a Saturday, how convenient.
A few days before the party I had the dining room converted into two serving areas. One side for the Mai Tai drinks, the tequila shots and other beverages. The other side was the buffet table for dinner.
My dining room side board was loaded down with stuff to make the food and the pitcher of Mai Tais, plus the raffle prize.
Looking towards the living room I hung spiral things with hibiscus on them and over the TV it reads ALOHA.
Silk leis laid out on the sofa for all the guests.
I found this to decorate the front door. I had seen some cute signs saying "The luau is here" or "The party is here" but I was worried that my neighbors might try to crash the event.
I got a nice picture of my beautiful daughter.
My son in-law, Justin, won the raffle and got a pint of Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum. Tammy tried to photo bomb him while Savannah looked on.
Damien, Tammy, Patricia and Justin chillin' out.
Doing a tequila shot with Tammy, Terri and Murphy. This was one of many tequila shots.
Dinner is served from front to back: Huli Huli chicken, oven roasted Kalua pork, haupia, cucumber & carrot namasu, fresh pineapple and lomi lomi salmon.
My birthday cake that my daughter Patricia made for me.
Patricia and I getting photobombed by Damien.
Patricia, Tammy and I in the kitchen.
Getting photobombed again by Damien. He has a gift for doing this.
A good time was had by all and I paid the price for all my fun the next day with a wicked hangover. The next party may be my 60th.

It was a great time. The food was scrumptious and you were the hostess with the mostest, as usual. Thanks for inviting us! Love you Share :)
