Thanksgiving Part 2

This post could be called 'Lions, and Tigers and Bears, Oh My' but its not.

It is now Sunday, November 30th. Its my last day in Jacksonville before I head back home to NC. Patricia and I agreed to take Miss Savannah to the zoo.

Look at my munchkin. She is the most adorable little girl in the world. But that is just my opinion.

It was a cool morning but really sunny. The rhinos were out grazing.

The elephants were moving around also.

The lioness was napping in the warm sun.

As was the lion.

Over at the giraffe enclosure we saw two baby giraffes. This is the first one.

Here is the second one.

This is the big daddy giraffe. He is a lot bigger than all the females.

After lunch I saw this peacock laying in the bushes along the walkway.

We got to see tigers fighting. One of them got disturbed during his nap and that's how the fight started.

What would a trip to Florida be without seeing gators? And I'm not talking about the college team.

Lastly we found this guy or girl. Not really sure, but I do know its a black bear. A relative to the ones that destroyed my bird feeders on Sugar Mountain.

We had a very enjoyable day and Miss Savannah was very well behaved for a 22 month old. From the zoo I headed back to my condo to start loading up for the next day's drive home.
